Today in media we experienced our first problem which was internet failure, due to this we watched and analysed previous videos that were made by year 13 students in 2008.
The first video that we watched and analysed was a narrative and performance. Our review of this video was that it had a poor love storyline and the way that it was performed was alsio to a low standard. There was random clips in the video that werent necessarily needed and didnt match this 'cheesy' love video.
The second video we watched was a concept based, we felt this was a good video as it matched the song well. It was filmed in london and the majority of the shots were sped up which was a change to the first video and it worked well . The first video that we saw was our least faviourite purely because it bored us by a poor choice of location which was dull and dreary which was in a school and a poor cheesy love story. After watching few of the videos we decided we want to try and be a bit more different and a completly different storyline that is unique compared to the over used love storyline.
The other task that we did this lesson was to complete a shooting schedule. We looked at our timetables and worked out when we was free to film. The red highlighted boxes are when we are free, the majority of these were on week B so therefore this will be the week that we will try and do most of our filming. It is going to be hard to film at the weekend as we are all busy with work and hobbies outside of school.
